Dr. Boland is currently taking referrals for Jungian analysis (by self-referral) alongside her psychiatric practice. She has an interest in healthcare workers mental health and wellbeing and leads a monthly Balint group (reflective practice) for General practitioners and Medical Specialists in Cork together with Dr Zulijana Anastaova, Consultant Psychiatrist.
Experience & Education
- Dr. Cailin Boland has experience working with adults in community mental health teams, in-patient and out-patient settings, in the NHS, HSE, public and private sectors. She graduated with Honours in Medicine from University College Cork in 2012, proceeded to complete her Intern training with Cork Intern Training Network (2013), before moving to the UK to complete Foundation Year Two Training (2014), gaining her MRCPsych qualification (2016) and completing Core Training in Psychiatry (2017). She returned to Ireland to complete Higher Specialist Training (CSCST) in General Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in Dublin and Kildare (2023). She worked in a Locum Consultant position in Kildare upon completion of Higher Specialist Training and returned to Cork in 2024. Dr Boland has publications in peer-reviewed academic journals (see researchgate profile). She has experience working with various psychotherapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavioural therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive analytical therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy for Insomnia and is currently completing clinical training in Psychoanalysis at the C.G. Jung Institut, Zurich.
